About Us

Acelen Renewables is an energy company created to actively participate in the global energy transition. In its biggest project, it will invest in its first unit for the production of renewable fuels, SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel), and Renewable Diesel, particularly from a native Brazilian plant, Macauba.

Luiz de Mendonça
CEO
Luiz de Mendonça has more than 30 years of international experience, having held leading roles such as CEO, COO and member of the Board of Directors at companies in the chemical, petrochemical, biofuel and energy sectors. He has extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions, corporate integration, innovation & technology and business development. He has led several different companies overseas and led the implementation of major Brazilian companies’ internationalization strategies. He holds a degree in Production Engineering from Poli-USP and an MBA from Isead-France.
Marcelo Cordaro
COO
Marcelo Cordaro has over 25 years experience in the industrial sector, having worked in negotiation, planning, operations management, and sales. During his professional career he held positions at large companies such as Braskem, Camargo Corrêa Infra and Finnish-based Poyry, where he held the position of president, Latin America, and as a member of the Global Executive Committee, and also for McKinsey consultants. Mr. Cordaro has also worked as volunteer member at innovation entrepreneurship non-profit organization Anjos do Brasil. Mr. Cordaro obtained a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the Washington University, Saint Louis, and has a Masters degree and is a Graduate from the São Paulo University Polytechnic School.
